The Course
In this course we will look at three different minimalist landscapes in the first part. In the second part we will take some of the techniques further and look at a wet in wet landscape and a landscape with layers. Finally we will do a looser more experimental sketchbook exercise to generate new ideas.
The course is varied with different techniques and approaches looked at but the theme of contemporary, minimalist and semi abstract landscapes runs throughout.
I cover the basics of watercolour and the materials needed in the course but it is not intended as a complete beginners introduction to all watercolour techniques and materials. However, the minimalist approach of the initial videos is really well suited to those just starting out as well as more experienced painters.
There is alot to learn through exploring landscapes in watercolour and I hope you will join me on this journey!.
